Buying electrical equipment in Leisure Village

Coverage in Leisure Village is run off our New Jersey routing along I-95, the Turnpike, I-287, I-78 and I-80. Coordination with PSE&G, JCP&L, Atlantic City Electric on clearances, metering removal and final disconnect is part of the scope, not a change order. Chemical and pharmaceutical plants along the Turnpike corridor plus dense urban building renovations make New Jersey one of our highest-volume states for switchboards, busway risers and MV switchgear.

Once an offer is accepted in Leisure Village we schedule around your outage window, not ours. Nights, weekends and phased removals are normal. Crews arrive with their own rigging, skates, lifts, torches and oil-handling equipment, pull the gear, protect your floors and leave the electrical room clear for the next trade.

What drives the number

Three things drive the number: condition, whether the equipment is still supported, and copper content. A medium-voltage line-up with current vacuum breakers and a recent test report prices as reusable equipment. An identical structure with obsolete air-magnetic breakers and no nameplate prices on its bus and steel. We tell you which bucket your Leisure Village gear falls into before you commit to anything.

Safety and documentation

Nothing leaves a Leisure Village site undocumented. Nameplate data is recorded as equipment comes out, regulated items like transformer oil and older capacitors are separated under their own profile, and you receive a reconciled report your EHS group can file against the original purchase agreement.

Paper you receive

Certificate of insurance before we mobilize, a written itemized offer, a signed bill of sale, and load documentation for every trailer. If your compliance team needs something specific, ask before we schedule.

Leisure Village questions

Do you provide documentation for surplus property or audit records?

Yes. Itemized purchase agreements, weight tickets, bills of lading, oil disposal manifests and recycling documentation are standard on Leisure Village purchases. Public agencies and audited facilities get the paperwork their process requires without having to ask twice.

Do you actually buy electrical equipment in Leisure Village, or just broker it?

We buy it. Industrial Electrical Buyer is the purchaser of record — we fund the purchase, send our own crews to Leisure Village to disconnect and load, and take title when the equipment leaves your dock. There is no third party behind us waiting to approve the price.

What is the smallest job you will take in Leisure Village?

A single transformer, one switchgear section, a pallet of bus plugs or a few boxes of breakers is worth a call. Because we route crews across New Jersey continuously, small Leisure Village pickups usually get added to an existing run rather than priced as a dedicated trip.

How fast can you get to a Leisure Village site?

Written offers go out the same business day in nearly every case. After acceptance, typical mobilization to Leisure Village is a few business days for a straightforward removal and one to two weeks for a full plant scope that needs phasing, rigging plans or utility coordination.

Do we have to disconnect the equipment before you arrive?

No. We handle removal. Your electrician or the utility performs the final isolation and we verify it; from there our crews lock out, cut and cap cable at the gland, unbolt the sections, skate them out and load them. If the Leisure Village room is still partly live we phase the work.

How do you handle transformer oil in Leisure Village?

Oil is tested, drained and manifested through licensed handlers, and you receive the documentation with your paperwork. PCB-suspect units go under a separate waste profile. Nothing is left on your pad in Leisure Village and nothing gets dumped — the handling cost is already in the offer.
