Plate 01

What we buy under electrical wire and cable buyers

Feeder and building wire

THHN, XHHW and RHW copper and aluminum feeders from #12 AWG through 1,000 MCM, single conductors and multi-conductor assemblies, in conduit or free-air. Recovered building wire is the highest-volume item in most plant electrical lots.

Medium-voltage and shielded cable

5 kV, 15 kV, 25 kV and 35 kV shielded power cable, EPR and XLPE insulated, tape and wire shielded, single conductor and triplexed. Long unspliced runs and full reels can resell as cable rather than as recovered copper, which is worth considerably more.

Reels, tray cable and control wire

Full and partial reels left over from construction, tray cable, instrumentation and thermocouple wire, portable and mining trailing cable, welding lead and bare copper ground. Reels with legible print legends are the easiest items in this category to resell.

Plate 02

What the equipment is worth to you

Cable is priced on metal content, insulation type and whether it can resell as cable rather than recovered copper. Full reels and long unspliced MV runs carry the biggest premium over metal value. Everything is weighed on certified scales and you receive the tickets.

Two numbers sit under every offer: what the next owner will pay for a working asset, and what the copper and aluminum are worth if nobody will. We show you both, then subtract our removal cost in the open.

Removal is included, not extra

Our price includes de-energized disassembly, rigging, loading and freight. You are not buying a demolition service from us and then selling us metal separately; it is one transaction with one number.

Questions we get on this desk

Do you buy cable still installed in conduit and tray?

Yes — pulling and recovering installed cable is a standard part of our plant work. We do the pulling; you do not need to have it out first.

Copper or aluminum — do you buy both?

Both. Copper is worth several times aluminum by weight, but aluminum feeders in quantity are still a meaningful number, especially large MCM runs.

How is the weight determined?

Certified scale tickets, with copies issued to you. On mixed loads we separate by metal and insulation class before weighing so each fraction is paid at its own rate.

Do partial reels have value?

Yes, particularly with the print legend still readable. Partial reels of MV cable and larger MCM feeder are the most valuable leftovers on most construction sites.

What about cable that has been burned or crushed?

Still purchased, priced as recovered metal rather than resale cable. Fire-damaged and demolition-recovered cable is routine work for us.
