What we buy under electrical equipment buyers

Surplus and never-installed stock

Equipment bought for a project that changed, spare gear ordered for a line that was retired, and warehouse stock nobody can account for anymore. New-in-crate switchgear, panelboards, breakers and transformers price close to distributor levels because that is where they go back to.

Retired and replaced equipment

The line-up that came out when the service was upgraded, the transformer swapped for a larger unit, the MCC replaced with drives. Retired equipment is the core of the used market and is usually worth far more than the yard price your demolition contractor quoted.

Demolition-recovered lots

Everything electrical that comes out of a building or plant being taken down, including the fractions nobody else wants. We quote the good gear and the scrap together so the electrical scope leaves in one contract instead of three.

What the equipment is worth to you

The most common mistake sellers make is assuming old equipment is scrap. A large share of what goes to a yard as metal actually resells into service, and the gap between those two numbers is frequently the difference between a disposal cost and a check. Ask before anything is cut.

Two numbers sit under every offer: what the next owner will pay for a working asset, and what the copper and aluminum are worth if nobody will. We show you both, then subtract our removal cost in the open.

Removal is included, not extra

Our price includes de-energized disassembly, rigging, loading and freight. You are not buying a demolition service from us and then selling us metal separately; it is one transaction with one number.

Questions we get on this desk

What is the minimum lot size you will look at?

There is no formal minimum. A pallet of breakers, one transformer or a single switchgear section is worth a call, and small pickups get routed onto existing runs.

Do you buy equipment that has already been removed?

Yes. Equipment sitting on a warehouse floor or a laydown yard is the simplest transaction we do — no outage coordination, just a count, an offer and a truck.

Can you provide surplus-property documentation?

Yes. Itemized purchase agreements, weight tickets, bills of lading, oil manifests and recycling documentation are standard, which is why public agencies and audited facilities work with us comfortably.

What if some of the equipment has no value?

We say so, and we still take it as part of the lot. Pricing the scrap fraction honestly against the resale fraction is how a seller ends up with an empty room rather than a pile of leftovers.

How long does an offer stay good?

Normally 30 days. Metal-heavy lots are shorter because copper and aluminum move; we state the window on the written offer.
