Selling Industrial Electrical Equipment in Triangle, VA

Most Triangle plant engineers call us at one of two moments: the week a capital upgrade is approved, or the week a demolition contractor asks who is taking the electrical scope. The question is the same either way — what is it worth, and who gets it out of the building? One written offer answers both, because we are the buyer, the removal contractor and the hauler.

Buying electrical equipment in Triangle

We treat Virginia as one service area rather than a list of towns. Crews moving between Ashburn, Sterling, Reston, Manassas and Richmond pass through Triangle regularly, which is why a single transformer or a pallet of bus plugs is still worth quoting here — we add it to an existing run instead of pricing a dedicated trip.

For Triangle sites we quote two ways when it helps: a single number for the scope as it stands, and a line-by-line itemization showing what the switchgear, the transformers, the busway and the cable each contribute. Some teams need the lump sum to move an approval; others need the detail for their asset records. You can have both.

What drives the number

Transformer oil is the item sellers in Triangle worry about most, and fairly so. We test it, drain it, manifest it through licensed handlers and hand you the documentation. PCB-suspect units are handled under their own waste profile. The cost of that handling is already inside the offer, so nothing surprises you after the fact.

Safety and documentation

Nothing leaves a Triangle site undocumented. Nameplate data is recorded as equipment comes out, regulated items like transformer oil and older capacitors are separated under their own profile, and you receive a reconciled report your EHS group can file against the original purchase agreement.

Paper you receive

Certificate of insurance before we mobilize, a written itemized offer, a signed bill of sale, and load documentation for every trailer. If your compliance team needs something specific, ask before we schedule.

Triangle questions

Do we have to disconnect the equipment before you arrive?

No. We handle removal. Your electrician or the utility performs the final isolation and we verify it; from there our crews lock out, cut and cap cable at the gland, unbolt the sections, skate them out and load them. If the Triangle room is still partly live we phase the work.

How do you handle transformer oil in Triangle?

Oil is tested, drained and manifested through licensed handlers, and you receive the documentation with your paperwork. PCB-suspect units go under a separate waste profile. Nothing is left on your pad in Triangle and nothing gets dumped — the handling cost is already in the offer.

When do we get paid?

Before the equipment leaves your Triangle dock. Wire, company check or cashier's check, whichever your accounting group prefers. On large phased projects we pay per load as it ships rather than holding everything until the end.

What if the equipment is old or has no test records?

We still quote it. Records raise the number — a NETA test report on a breaker or a transformer is the single document that most improves what we can pay — but their absence disqualifies nothing. We price Triangle equipment on what our technicians and the replacement market say it is worth.

Are you insured to work inside our Triangle facility?

Yes. We carry general liability, auto, workers' compensation and umbrella coverage, and we issue a certificate naming your entity as additional insured before crews mobilize to Triangle. We also complete vendor onboarding, background checks and site-specific safety orientation on request.

Can you work nights, weekends or during a shutdown in Triangle?

Regularly. Most electrical removals happen outside production hours because that is when circuits can be released. Night, weekend, holiday and turnaround windows in Triangle are normal scheduling for us, not a premium service.
