If the Tichigan equipment is still carrying load, we phase it. Usually that means dead sections and spares first, then distribution as circuits are released, then the main line-up once the last feeder is isolated. The phasing goes into the offer so nobody is improvising in an energized room at two in the morning.

What drives the number
Copper is the floor under most of this equipment, and it is a floor that moves. Bus bar, windings and feeder cable set a minimum value we can always pay on a Tichigan lot; resale demand for the specific make and model is what lifts the offer above it. Obsolete bus plugs and discontinued panelboard interiors are the clearest example — unglamorous parts that plants cannot buy new anywhere.

Safety and documentation
If your Tichigan facility runs permits — hot work, confined space, elevated work, site orientation, background checks — tell us at the quote stage and we build the time into the schedule rather than asking for an extension later. Our people are used to refinery, hospital and utility permitting cultures.
Paper you receive
Certificate of insurance before we mobilize, a written itemized offer, a signed bill of sale, and load documentation for every trailer. If your compliance team needs something specific, ask before we schedule.

When do we get paid?
Before the equipment leaves your Tichigan dock. Wire, company check or cashier's check, whichever your accounting group prefers. On large phased projects we pay per load as it ships rather than holding everything until the end.
What if the equipment is old or has no test records?
We still quote it. Records raise the number — a NETA test report on a breaker or a transformer is the single document that most improves what we can pay — but their absence disqualifies nothing. We price Tichigan equipment on what our technicians and the replacement market say it is worth.
Are you insured to work inside our Tichigan facility?
Yes. We carry general liability, auto, workers' compensation and umbrella coverage, and we issue a certificate naming your entity as additional insured before crews mobilize to Tichigan. We also complete vendor onboarding, background checks and site-specific safety orientation on request.
Can you work nights, weekends or during a shutdown in Tichigan?
Regularly. Most electrical removals happen outside production hours because that is when circuits can be released. Night, weekend, holiday and turnaround windows in Tichigan are normal scheduling for us, not a premium service.
What happens to the equipment after you buy it?
Serviceable gear is tested, reconditioned where needed and resold as replacement equipment — that resale is what funds your offer. What cannot go back into service is dismantled for copper, aluminum and steel recovery through permitted processors, with regulated fractions documented.
Do you buy equipment that is still energized and in service?
Yes, and most of what we buy is. We quote it now and remove it on your cutover date. Telling us at the quote stage which Tichigan assets are still live lets us build the phasing and the clearance coordination into the schedule from the beginning.
