If the The Pinehills equipment is still carrying load, we phase it. Usually that means dead sections and spares first, then distribution as circuits are released, then the main line-up once the last feeder is isolated. The phasing goes into the offer so nobody is improvising in an energized room at two in the morning.

Sometimes the equipment value exceeds our removal cost and you receive a check. On older, stripped or badly access-restricted The Pinehills scopes, the removal cost exceeds the value and the project nets near zero or a modest fee. You hear which one you are looking at up front rather than halfway through the teardown.

Safety and documentation
Safety is scope, not a brochure page. Crews working in The Pinehills operate to NFPA 70E for arc-flash boundaries and PPE, follow OSHA 1910.147 lockout and tagout with our own locks and written procedures, and hold a daily job safety analysis before the first bolt turns. We do not energize, test or operate your equipment — isolation is verified with your electrician before we touch anything.
Paper you receive
Certificate of insurance before we mobilize, a written itemized offer, a signed bill of sale, and load documentation for every trailer. If your compliance team needs something specific, ask before we schedule.

Can you work nights, weekends or during a shutdown in The Pinehills?
Regularly. Most electrical removals happen outside production hours because that is when circuits can be released. Night, weekend, holiday and turnaround windows in The Pinehills are normal scheduling for us, not a premium service.
What happens to the equipment after you buy it?
Serviceable gear is tested, reconditioned where needed and resold as replacement equipment — that resale is what funds your offer. What cannot go back into service is dismantled for copper, aluminum and steel recovery through permitted processors, with regulated fractions documented.
Do you buy equipment that is still energized and in service?
Yes, and most of what we buy is. We quote it now and remove it on your cutover date. Telling us at the quote stage which The Pinehills assets are still live lets us build the phasing and the clearance coordination into the schedule from the beginning.
Our electrical room is in a basement with a tight door. Is that a problem?
It is routine. Switchgear sections, transformers and gensets frequently have to be cut down or partially disassembled to clear a door width, an elevator limit or a stair turn. The access survey at your The Pinehills site establishes the path before we commit to a date, and that cost is already inside the offer.
Will you take the equipment we cannot sell along with the good items?
Yes, and this is usually why sellers choose us. Cherry-picking leaves you holding the leftovers of the leftovers. We price the The Pinehills lot as a whole — good gear, obsolete gear and the scrap fraction together — so the electrical room ends up genuinely empty.
Do you provide documentation for surplus property or audit records?
Yes. Itemized purchase agreements, weight tickets, bills of lading, oil disposal manifests and recycling documentation are standard on The Pinehills purchases. Public agencies and audited facilities get the paperwork their process requires without having to ask twice.
