Industrial Electrical Equipment Buyer for Sycamore, IL Facilities
Pulling electrical gear out of a Sycamore facility normally takes three vendors: an electrician to de-energize, a rigger to move the heavy sections, and a hauler to get it off site. Coordinating three trades around one outage window is where these projects go sideways. We collapse all three into one contract and pay you for the equipment on top of it.

Buying electrical equipment in Sycamore
Sycamore sits in Illinois, where ComEd, Ameren Illinois, MidAmerican feed the load and I-90, I-94, I-55, I-80 and I-290 carry the freight. Both facts land in your number: a site near those corridors costs us less to service and the saving shows up in the offer rather than our margin. Chicago, Elk Grove Village, Aurora and Northlake are regular stops, and Sycamore work routes with them.
Paperwork travels with the job: a certificate of insurance naming your entity, a W-9, a signed purchase agreement listing every asset and its price, oil test and disposal manifests where transformers are in scope, and weight tickets or a bill of lading for what leaves the Sycamore site. Maintenance, EHS and accounting each get the document they need.

What drives the number
Copper is the floor under most of this equipment, and it is a floor that moves. Bus bar, windings and feeder cable set a minimum value we can always pay on a Sycamore lot; resale demand for the specific make and model is what lifts the offer above it. Obsolete bus plugs and discontinued panelboard interiors are the clearest example — unglamorous parts that plants cannot buy new anywhere.

Safety and documentation
Nothing leaves a Sycamore site undocumented. Nameplate data is recorded as equipment comes out, regulated items like transformer oil and older capacitors are separated under their own profile, and you receive a reconciled report your EHS group can file against the original purchase agreement.
Paper you receive
Certificate of insurance before we mobilize, a written itemized offer, a signed bill of sale, and load documentation for every trailer. If your compliance team needs something specific, ask before we schedule.

Sycamore questions
How fast can you get to a Sycamore site?
Written offers go out the same business day in nearly every case. After acceptance, typical mobilization to Sycamore is a few business days for a straightforward removal and one to two weeks for a full plant scope that needs phasing, rigging plans or utility coordination.
Do we have to disconnect the equipment before you arrive?
No. We handle removal. Your electrician or the utility performs the final isolation and we verify it; from there our crews lock out, cut and cap cable at the gland, unbolt the sections, skate them out and load them. If the Sycamore room is still partly live we phase the work.
How do you handle transformer oil in Sycamore?
Oil is tested, drained and manifested through licensed handlers, and you receive the documentation with your paperwork. PCB-suspect units go under a separate waste profile. Nothing is left on your pad in Sycamore and nothing gets dumped — the handling cost is already in the offer.
When do we get paid?
Before the equipment leaves your Sycamore dock. Wire, company check or cashier's check, whichever your accounting group prefers. On large phased projects we pay per load as it ships rather than holding everything until the end.
What if the equipment is old or has no test records?
We still quote it. Records raise the number — a NETA test report on a breaker or a transformer is the single document that most improves what we can pay — but their absence disqualifies nothing. We price Sycamore equipment on what our technicians and the replacement market say it is worth.
Are you insured to work inside our Sycamore facility?
Yes. We carry general liability, auto, workers' compensation and umbrella coverage, and we issue a certificate naming your entity as additional insured before crews mobilize to Sycamore. We also complete vendor onboarding, background checks and site-specific safety orientation on request.
