Oak Hills, OR Industrial Electrical Equipment Purchase and Removal

Most Oak Hills plant engineers call us at one of two moments: the week a capital upgrade is approved, or the week a demolition contractor asks who is taking the electrical scope. The question is the same either way — what is it worth, and who gets it out of the building? One written offer answers both, because we are the buyer, the removal contractor and the hauler.

Buying electrical equipment in Oak Hills

Oak Hills sits in Oregon, where Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, EWEB feed the load and I-5, I-84 and US-97 carry the freight. Both facts land in your number: a site near those corridors costs us less to service and the saving shows up in the offer rather than our margin. Portland, Hillsboro, Prineville and Eugene are regular stops, and Oak Hills work routes with them.

For Oak Hills sites we quote two ways when it helps: a single number for the scope as it stands, and a line-by-line itemization showing what the switchgear, the transformers, the busway and the cable each contribute. Some teams need the lump sum to move an approval; others need the detail for their asset records. You can have both.

What drives the number

Sometimes the equipment value exceeds our removal cost and you receive a check. On older, stripped or badly access-restricted Oak Hills scopes, the removal cost exceeds the value and the project nets near zero or a modest fee. You hear which one you are looking at up front rather than halfway through the teardown.

Safety and documentation

Safety is scope, not a brochure page. Crews working in Oak Hills operate to NFPA 70E for arc-flash boundaries and PPE, follow OSHA 1910.147 lockout and tagout with our own locks and written procedures, and hold a daily job safety analysis before the first bolt turns. We do not energize, test or operate your equipment — isolation is verified with your electrician before we touch anything.

Paper you receive

Certificate of insurance before we mobilize, a written itemized offer, a signed bill of sale, and load documentation for every trailer. If your compliance team needs something specific, ask before we schedule.

Oak Hills questions

Do you actually buy electrical equipment in Oak Hills, or just broker it?

We buy it. Industrial Electrical Buyer is the purchaser of record — we fund the purchase, send our own crews to Oak Hills to disconnect and load, and take title when the equipment leaves your dock. There is no third party behind us waiting to approve the price.

What is the smallest job you will take in Oak Hills?

A single transformer, one switchgear section, a pallet of bus plugs or a few boxes of breakers is worth a call. Because we route crews across Oregon continuously, small Oak Hills pickups usually get added to an existing run rather than priced as a dedicated trip.

How fast can you get to a Oak Hills site?

Written offers go out the same business day in nearly every case. After acceptance, typical mobilization to Oak Hills is a few business days for a straightforward removal and one to two weeks for a full plant scope that needs phasing, rigging plans or utility coordination.

Do we have to disconnect the equipment before you arrive?

No. We handle removal. Your electrician or the utility performs the final isolation and we verify it; from there our crews lock out, cut and cap cable at the gland, unbolt the sections, skate them out and load them. If the Oak Hills room is still partly live we phase the work.

How do you handle transformer oil in Oak Hills?

Oil is tested, drained and manifested through licensed handlers, and you receive the documentation with your paperwork. PCB-suspect units go under a separate waste profile. Nothing is left on your pad in Oak Hills and nothing gets dumped — the handling cost is already in the offer.

When do we get paid?

Before the equipment leaves your Oak Hills dock. Wire, company check or cashier's check, whichever your accounting group prefers. On large phased projects we pay per load as it ships rather than holding everything until the end.
