Industrial Electrical Equipment Buyer for Merrill, WI Facilities

Pulling electrical gear out of a Merrill facility normally takes three vendors: an electrician to de-energize, a rigger to move the heavy sections, and a hauler to get it off site. Coordinating three trades around one outage window is where these projects go sideways. We collapse all three into one contract and pay you for the equipment on top of it.

Plate 01

Buying electrical equipment in Merrill

We treat Wisconsin as one service area rather than a list of towns. Crews moving between Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay and Kenosha pass through Merrill regularly, which is why a single transformer or a pallet of bus plugs is still worth quoting here — we add it to an existing run instead of pricing a dedicated trip.

Once an offer is accepted in Merrill we schedule around your outage window, not ours. Nights, weekends and phased removals are normal. Crews arrive with their own rigging, skates, lifts, torches and oil-handling equipment, pull the gear, protect your floors and leave the electrical room clear for the next trade.

What drives the number

Copper is the floor under most of this equipment, and it is a floor that moves. Bus bar, windings and feeder cable set a minimum value we can always pay on a Merrill lot; resale demand for the specific make and model is what lifts the offer above it. Obsolete bus plugs and discontinued panelboard interiors are the clearest example — unglamorous parts that plants cannot buy new anywhere.

Safety and documentation

If your Merrill facility runs permits — hot work, confined space, elevated work, site orientation, background checks — tell us at the quote stage and we build the time into the schedule rather than asking for an extension later. Our people are used to refinery, hospital and utility permitting cultures.

Paper you receive

Certificate of insurance before we mobilize, a written itemized offer, a signed bill of sale, and load documentation for every trailer. If your compliance team needs something specific, ask before we schedule.

Merrill questions

Do we have to disconnect the equipment before you arrive?

No. We handle removal. Your electrician or the utility performs the final isolation and we verify it; from there our crews lock out, cut and cap cable at the gland, unbolt the sections, skate them out and load them. If the Merrill room is still partly live we phase the work.

How do you handle transformer oil in Merrill?

Oil is tested, drained and manifested through licensed handlers, and you receive the documentation with your paperwork. PCB-suspect units go under a separate waste profile. Nothing is left on your pad in Merrill and nothing gets dumped — the handling cost is already in the offer.

When do we get paid?

Before the equipment leaves your Merrill dock. Wire, company check or cashier's check, whichever your accounting group prefers. On large phased projects we pay per load as it ships rather than holding everything until the end.

What if the equipment is old or has no test records?

We still quote it. Records raise the number — a NETA test report on a breaker or a transformer is the single document that most improves what we can pay — but their absence disqualifies nothing. We price Merrill equipment on what our technicians and the replacement market say it is worth.

Are you insured to work inside our Merrill facility?

Yes. We carry general liability, auto, workers' compensation and umbrella coverage, and we issue a certificate naming your entity as additional insured before crews mobilize to Merrill. We also complete vendor onboarding, background checks and site-specific safety orientation on request.

Can you work nights, weekends or during a shutdown in Merrill?

Regularly. Most electrical removals happen outside production hours because that is when circuits can be released. Night, weekend, holiday and turnaround windows in Merrill are normal scheduling for us, not a premium service.
