Kimberly, ID Industrial Electrical Equipment Purchase and Removal

Most Kimberly plant engineers call us at one of two moments: the week a capital upgrade is approved, or the week a demolition contractor asks who is taking the electrical scope. The question is the same either way — what is it worth, and who gets it out of the building? One written offer answers both, because we are the buyer, the removal contractor and the hauler.

Buying electrical equipment in Kimberly

Kimberly sits in Idaho, where Idaho Power, Avista, Rocky Mountain Power feed the load and I-84, I-15 and US-95 carry the freight. Both facts land in your number: a site near those corridors costs us less to service and the saving shows up in the offer rather than our margin. Boise, Meridian and Idaho Falls are regular stops, and Kimberly work routes with them.

Paperwork travels with the job: a certificate of insurance naming your entity, a W-9, a signed purchase agreement listing every asset and its price, oil test and disposal manifests where transformers are in scope, and weight tickets or a bill of lading for what leaves the Kimberly site. Maintenance, EHS and accounting each get the document they need.

What drives the number

We do not quote high and renegotiate on the dock, which is the complaint we hear most often about this trade. If what our crew finds in Kimberly matches what you described, the written price is the price we pay. If it does not — breakers already pulled, windings cut, a different model than the photo — we show you exactly which line changed and why.

Safety and documentation

If your Kimberly facility runs permits — hot work, confined space, elevated work, site orientation, background checks — tell us at the quote stage and we build the time into the schedule rather than asking for an extension later. Our people are used to refinery, hospital and utility permitting cultures.

Paper you receive

Certificate of insurance before we mobilize, a written itemized offer, a signed bill of sale, and load documentation for every trailer. If your compliance team needs something specific, ask before we schedule.

Kimberly questions

How fast can you get to a Kimberly site?

Written offers go out the same business day in nearly every case. After acceptance, typical mobilization to Kimberly is a few business days for a straightforward removal and one to two weeks for a full plant scope that needs phasing, rigging plans or utility coordination.

Do we have to disconnect the equipment before you arrive?

No. We handle removal. Your electrician or the utility performs the final isolation and we verify it; from there our crews lock out, cut and cap cable at the gland, unbolt the sections, skate them out and load them. If the Kimberly room is still partly live we phase the work.

How do you handle transformer oil in Kimberly?

Oil is tested, drained and manifested through licensed handlers, and you receive the documentation with your paperwork. PCB-suspect units go under a separate waste profile. Nothing is left on your pad in Kimberly and nothing gets dumped — the handling cost is already in the offer.

When do we get paid?

Before the equipment leaves your Kimberly dock. Wire, company check or cashier's check, whichever your accounting group prefers. On large phased projects we pay per load as it ships rather than holding everything until the end.

What if the equipment is old or has no test records?

We still quote it. Records raise the number — a NETA test report on a breaker or a transformer is the single document that most improves what we can pay — but their absence disqualifies nothing. We price Kimberly equipment on what our technicians and the replacement market say it is worth.

Are you insured to work inside our Kimberly facility?

Yes. We carry general liability, auto, workers' compensation and umbrella coverage, and we issue a certificate naming your entity as additional insured before crews mobilize to Kimberly. We also complete vendor onboarding, background checks and site-specific safety orientation on request.
