What drives the number
Sometimes the equipment value exceeds our removal cost and you receive a check. On older, stripped or badly access-restricted Glen Carbon scopes, the removal cost exceeds the value and the project nets near zero or a modest fee. Safety and documentation
Safety is scope, not a brochure page. Crews working in Glen Carbon operate to NFPA 70E for arc-flash boundaries and PPE, follow OSHA 1910.147 lockout and tagout with our own locks and written procedures, and hold a daily job safety analysis before the first bolt turns. We do not energize, test or operate your equipment — isolation is verified with your electrician before we touch anything.

Do we have to disconnect the equipment before you arrive?
No. We handle removal. Your electrician or the utility performs the final isolation and we verify it; from there our crews lock out, cut and cap cable at the gland, unbolt the sections, skate them out and load them. If the Glen Carbon room is still partly live we phase the work.
How do you handle transformer oil in Glen Carbon?
Oil is tested, drained and manifested through licensed handlers, and you receive the documentation with your paperwork. PCB-suspect units go under a separate waste profile. Nothing is left on your pad in Glen Carbon and nothing gets dumped — the handling cost is already in the offer.
