Industrial Electrical Equipment Buyer for Chickasaw, AL Facilities
Most Chickasaw plant engineers call us at one of two moments: the week a capital upgrade is approved, or the week a demolition contractor asks who is taking the electrical scope. The question is the same either way — what is it worth, and who gets it out of the building? One written offer answers both, because we are the buyer, the removal contractor and the hauler.

Buying electrical equipment in Chickasaw
Coverage in Chickasaw is run off our Alabama routing along I-65, I-20, I-10 and I-59. Coordination with Alabama Power, TVA, Huntsville Utilities on clearances, metering removal and final disconnect is part of the scope, not a change order. Steel, tire and automotive plants across the Birmingham and Huntsville corridors retire medium-voltage switchgear and large MCC line-ups regularly, and TVA-territory industrial rates have driven several older facilities offline.
If the Chickasaw equipment is still carrying load, we phase it. Usually that means dead sections and spares first, then distribution as circuits are released, then the main line-up once the last feeder is isolated. The phasing goes into the offer so nobody is improvising in an energized room at two in the morning.

What drives the number
Three things drive the number: condition, whether the equipment is still supported, and copper content. A medium-voltage line-up with current vacuum breakers and a recent test report prices as reusable equipment. An identical structure with obsolete air-magnetic breakers and no nameplate prices on its bus and steel. We tell you which bucket your Chickasaw gear falls into before you commit to anything.
| Input | Detail |
|---|---|
| Condition | Working, retired, water-damaged, or already dismantled |
| Support | Are breakers and parts still available for this line-up? |
| Copper | Windings, bus bar and cable weight |
| Access | Rigging path, crane need, dock reality at the Chickasaw site |
| Freight | I-65, I-20, I-10 and I-59 |

Safety and documentation
If your Chickasaw facility runs permits — hot work, confined space, elevated work, site orientation, background checks — tell us at the quote stage and we build the time into the schedule rather than asking for an extension later. Our people are used to refinery, hospital and utility permitting cultures.
Paper you receive
Certificate of insurance before we mobilize, a written itemized offer, a signed bill of sale, and load documentation for every trailer. If your compliance team needs something specific, ask before we schedule.

Chickasaw questions
Do we have to disconnect the equipment before you arrive?
No. We handle removal. Your electrician or the utility performs the final isolation and we verify it; from there our crews lock out, cut and cap cable at the gland, unbolt the sections, skate them out and load them. If the Chickasaw room is still partly live we phase the work.
How do you handle transformer oil in Chickasaw?
Oil is tested, drained and manifested through licensed handlers, and you receive the documentation with your paperwork. PCB-suspect units go under a separate waste profile. Nothing is left on your pad in Chickasaw and nothing gets dumped — the handling cost is already in the offer.
When do we get paid?
Before the equipment leaves your Chickasaw dock. Wire, company check or cashier's check, whichever your accounting group prefers. On large phased projects we pay per load as it ships rather than holding everything until the end.
What if the equipment is old or has no test records?
We still quote it. Records raise the number — a NETA test report on a breaker or a transformer is the single document that most improves what we can pay — but their absence disqualifies nothing. We price Chickasaw equipment on what our technicians and the replacement market say it is worth.
Are you insured to work inside our Chickasaw facility?
Yes. We carry general liability, auto, workers' compensation and umbrella coverage, and we issue a certificate naming your entity as additional insured before crews mobilize to Chickasaw. We also complete vendor onboarding, background checks and site-specific safety orientation on request.
Can you work nights, weekends or during a shutdown in Chickasaw?
Regularly. Most electrical removals happen outside production hours because that is when circuits can be released. Night, weekend, holiday and turnaround windows in Chickasaw are normal scheduling for us, not a premium service.
