Transformers we buy in Raleigh

North Carolina industry gives Raleigh projects a real secondary market close by. Furniture, textile and tobacco plant conversions across the Piedmont leave complete electrical scopes behind, and Charlotte-area banking and data facilities add well-maintained switchgear. Equipment that leaves your site frequently goes back into service within a few hundred miles of where we picked it up, and that is what lets us pay above metal value.

The sequence on a Raleigh job is short. You send nameplate photos or a list. We come back the same business day with a written itemized offer and a proposed removal window. If you accept, we survey access — door widths, floor loading, dock height, whether the room is still energized — then mobilize, lock out, disconnect, unbolt, rig, load and sweep. Payment lands before the trailer leaves.

What it is worth

Sometimes the equipment value exceeds our removal cost and you receive a check. On older, stripped or badly access-restricted Raleigh scopes, the removal cost exceeds the value and the project nets near zero or a modest fee. You hear which one you are looking at up front rather than halfway through the teardown.

North Carolina note

Furniture, textile and tobacco plant conversions across the Piedmont leave complete electrical scopes behind, and Charlotte-area banking and data facilities add well-maintained switchgear.

Questions

Do we have to disconnect the equipment before you arrive?

No. We handle removal. Your electrician or the utility performs the final isolation and we verify it; from there our crews lock out, cut and cap cable at the gland, unbolt the sections, skate them out and load them. If the Raleigh room is still partly live we phase the work.

How do you handle transformer oil in Raleigh?

Oil is tested, drained and manifested through licensed handlers, and you receive the documentation with your paperwork. PCB-suspect units go under a separate waste profile. Nothing is left on your pad in Raleigh and nothing gets dumped — the handling cost is already in the offer.

When do we get paid?

Before the equipment leaves your Raleigh dock. Wire, company check or cashier's check, whichever your accounting group prefers. On large phased projects we pay per load as it ships rather than holding everything until the end.

What if the equipment is old or has no test records?

We still quote it. Records raise the number — a NETA test report on a breaker or a transformer is the single document that most improves what we can pay — but their absence disqualifies nothing. We price Raleigh equipment on what our technicians and the replacement market say it is worth.
