Level Green, PA Electrical Transformer Buyers

Level Green facility and construction teams call us when equipment is coming out and nobody wants to coordinate an electrician, a rigger and a hauler around one outage window. We are all three, and we pay you for the equipment on top of it instead of charging you to haul it away.

Transformers buyers serving Level Green

Steel, chemical and rail industry legacy across Pennsylvania left an extraordinary base of older switchgear and busway, and Philadelphia and Pittsburgh building renovations add switchboard and riser work. For Level Green specifically that density helps: crews already move through Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Allentown and Harrisburg, so mobilization is a scheduling question rather than a cost problem.

The sequence is short. You send nameplate photos, a one-line diagram or just a list. We return a written itemized offer the same business day with a proposed removal window. On acceptance we survey access in Level Green — door widths, floor loading, dock, elevator, crane needs — then mobilize, lock out, disconnect, rig, load and sweep. Payment before the truck leaves.

What we take out of Level Green sites

Liquid-filled pad-mount and station class

Oil-filled pad-mount and pole-mount units, loop-feed and radial, unit substations with their primary switching and secondary sections, and station-class power transformers with tap changers, radiators and conservators. Oil is tested for PCB content before anything moves, and the manifests come with your paperwork.

Dry-type and cast coil

Ventilated dry-type and cast-coil units from 15 kVA through 5 MVA, including 480 V to 208 V step-downs, K-rated units specified for harmonic loads, and drive isolation transformers. Dry-types move easily, resell quickly and generally carry a strong number relative to their weight.

Level Green questions

What is the smallest job you will take in Level Green?

A single transformer, one switchgear section, a pallet of bus plugs or a few boxes of breakers is worth a call. Because we route crews across Pennsylvania continuously, small Level Green pickups usually get added to an existing run rather than priced as a dedicated trip.

How fast can you get to a Level Green site?

Written offers go out the same business day in nearly every case. After acceptance, typical mobilization to Level Green is a few business days for a straightforward removal and one to two weeks for a full plant scope that needs phasing, rigging plans or utility coordination.

Do we have to disconnect the equipment before you arrive?

No. We handle removal. Your electrician or the utility performs the final isolation and we verify it; from there our crews lock out, cut and cap cable at the gland, unbolt the sections, skate them out and load them. If the Level Green room is still partly live we phase the work.

How do you handle transformer oil in Level Green?

Oil is tested, drained and manifested through licensed handlers, and you receive the documentation with your paperwork. PCB-suspect units go under a separate waste profile. Nothing is left on your pad in Level Green and nothing gets dumped — the handling cost is already in the offer.

When do we get paid?

Before the equipment leaves your Level Green dock. Wire, company check or cashier's check, whichever your accounting group prefers. On large phased projects we pay per load as it ships rather than holding everything until the end.
