Atlanta, GA: Electrical Switchgear Purchase and Removal
Electrical Switchgear coming out of a Atlanta facility is worth quoting even when it is decades old. Condition, whether the model is still supported and copper content move the number far more than age, and we will tell you honestly whether your units resell into service or price closer to recovered metal.

Electrical Switchgear we buy in Atlanta
Our Georgia routing runs along I-75, I-85, I-20 and I-285, which keeps trailer and crew cost predictable on Atlanta projects. Utility territory matters too — Georgia Power, Georgia EMC, MEAG each have their own clearance, metering and disconnect expectations, and we have worked inside them. Carpet, poultry and automotive plants across north Georgia plus the Savannah port corridor produce a steady flow of MCC line-ups, busway and dry-type transformers.
Paperwork travels with the job: a certificate of insurance naming your entity, a W-9, a signed purchase agreement listing every asset and its price, oil test and disposal manifests where transformers are in scope, and weight tickets or a bill of lading for what leaves the Atlanta site. Maintenance, EHS and accounting each get the document they need.

What it is worth
We do not quote high and renegotiate on the dock, which is the complaint we hear most often about this trade. If what our crew finds in Atlanta matches what you described, the written price is the price we pay. If it does not — breakers already pulled, windings cut, a different model than the photo — we show you exactly which line changed and why.
Georgia note
Carpet, poultry and automotive plants across north Georgia plus the Savannah port corridor produce a steady flow of MCC line-ups, busway and dry-type transformers.

Questions
Are you insured to work inside our Atlanta facility?
Yes. We carry general liability, auto, workers' compensation and umbrella coverage, and we issue a certificate naming your entity as additional insured before crews mobilize to Atlanta. We also complete vendor onboarding, background checks and site-specific safety orientation on request.
Can you work nights, weekends or during a shutdown in Atlanta?
Regularly. Most electrical removals happen outside production hours because that is when circuits can be released. Night, weekend, holiday and turnaround windows in Atlanta are normal scheduling for us, not a premium service.
What happens to the equipment after you buy it?
Serviceable gear is tested, reconditioned where needed and resold as replacement equipment — that resale is what funds your offer. What cannot go back into service is dismantled for copper, aluminum and steel recovery through permitted processors, with regulated fractions documented.
Do you buy equipment that is still energized and in service?
Yes, and most of what we buy is. We quote it now and remove it on your cutover date. Telling us at the quote stage which Atlanta assets are still live lets us build the phasing and the clearance coordination into the schedule from the beginning.
