Atlanta, GA: Bus Duct & Busway Purchase and Removal
We purchase bus duct throughout Atlanta and the surrounding Georgia market — units still energized and scheduled for replacement, equipment already sitting dead after an upgrade, and lots coming out of a full plant closure. We buy the gear and we do the removal: one company, one offer, one certificate of insurance.

Bus Duct & Busway we buy in Atlanta
Coverage in Atlanta is run off our Georgia routing along I-75, I-85, I-20 and I-285. Coordination with Georgia Power, Georgia EMC, MEAG on clearances, metering removal and final disconnect is part of the scope, not a change order. Carpet, poultry and automotive plants across north Georgia plus the Savannah port corridor produce a steady flow of MCC line-ups, busway and dry-type transformers.
Paperwork travels with the job: a certificate of insurance naming your entity, a W-9, a signed purchase agreement listing every asset and its price, oil test and disposal manifests where transformers are in scope, and weight tickets or a bill of lading for what leaves the Atlanta site. Maintenance, EHS and accounting each get the document they need.

What it is worth
We do not quote high and renegotiate on the dock, which is the complaint we hear most often about this trade. If what our crew finds in Atlanta matches what you described, the written price is the price we pay. If it does not — breakers already pulled, windings cut, a different model than the photo — we show you exactly which line changed and why.
Georgia note

Questions
Do we have to disconnect the equipment before you arrive?
No. We handle removal. Your electrician or the utility performs the final isolation and we verify it; from there our crews lock out, cut and cap cable at the gland, unbolt the sections, skate them out and load them. If the Atlanta room is still partly live we phase the work.
How do you handle transformer oil in Atlanta?
Oil is tested, drained and manifested through licensed handlers, and you receive the documentation with your paperwork. PCB-suspect units go under a separate waste profile. Nothing is left on your pad in Atlanta and nothing gets dumped — the handling cost is already in the offer.
When do we get paid?
Before the equipment leaves your Atlanta dock. Wire, company check or cashier's check, whichever your accounting group prefers. On large phased projects we pay per load as it ships rather than holding everything until the end.
What if the equipment is old or has no test records?
We still quote it. Records raise the number — a NETA test report on a breaker or a transformer is the single document that most improves what we can pay — but their absence disqualifies nothing. We price Atlanta equipment on what our technicians and the replacement market say it is worth.
