Electrical Transformer Buyers in Park City, UT

Park City facility and construction teams call us when equipment is coming out and nobody wants to coordinate an electrician, a rigger and a hauler around one outage window. We are all three, and we pay you for the equipment on top of it instead of charging you to haul it away.

Transformers buyers serving Park City

Our Utah routing runs along I-15, I-80 and I-215, which keeps crew and trailer cost predictable for Park City projects. Coordination with Rocky Mountain Power, Provo Power, Murray City Power on clearances, metering removal and final disconnect is part of the scope, not a change order.

Once an offer is accepted we schedule around your outage, not ours. Night, weekend and phased removals in Park City are ordinary work. Crews arrive with their own rigging, lifts and containment, protect the floors and leave the room broom clean.

What we take out of Park City sites

Liquid-filled pad-mount and station class

Oil-filled pad-mount and pole-mount units, loop-feed and radial, unit substations with their primary switching and secondary sections, and station-class power transformers with tap changers, radiators and conservators. Oil is tested for PCB content before anything moves, and the manifests come with your paperwork.

Dry-type and cast coil

Ventilated dry-type and cast-coil units from 15 kVA through 5 MVA, including 480 V to 208 V step-downs, K-rated units specified for harmonic loads, and drive isolation transformers. Dry-types move easily, resell quickly and generally carry a strong number relative to their weight.

Utah specifics

Mining and smelting along the Wasatch Front and steel and chemical operations south of Salt Lake produce MV switchgear, large drives and portable substations.

Park City questions

Do we have to disconnect the equipment before you arrive?

No. We handle removal. Your electrician or the utility performs the final isolation and we verify it; from there our crews lock out, cut and cap cable at the gland, unbolt the sections, skate them out and load them. If the Park City room is still partly live we phase the work.

How do you handle transformer oil in Park City?

Oil is tested, drained and manifested through licensed handlers, and you receive the documentation with your paperwork. PCB-suspect units go under a separate waste profile. Nothing is left on your pad in Park City and nothing gets dumped — the handling cost is already in the offer.

When do we get paid?

Before the equipment leaves your Park City dock. Wire, company check or cashier's check, whichever your accounting group prefers. On large phased projects we pay per load as it ships rather than holding everything until the end.

What if the equipment is old or has no test records?

We still quote it. Records raise the number — a NETA test report on a breaker or a transformer is the single document that most improves what we can pay — but their absence disqualifies nothing. We price Park City equipment on what our technicians and the replacement market say it is worth.

Are you insured to work inside our Park City facility?

Yes. We carry general liability, auto, workers' compensation and umbrella coverage, and we issue a certificate naming your entity as additional insured before crews mobilize to Park City. We also complete vendor onboarding, background checks and site-specific safety orientation on request.
