Electrical Transformer Buyers in Clearfield, UT

Clearfield facility and construction teams call us when equipment is coming out and nobody wants to coordinate an electrician, a rigger and a hauler around one outage window. We are all three, and we pay you for the equipment on top of it instead of charging you to haul it away.

Transformers buyers serving Clearfield

Mining and smelting along the Wasatch Front and steel and chemical operations south of Salt Lake produce MV switchgear, large drives and portable substations. For Clearfield specifically that density helps: crews already move through Salt Lake City, Provo, West Jordan and Ogden, so mobilization is a scheduling question rather than a cost problem.

If the Clearfield equipment is still carrying load we phase it — dead sections and spares first, distribution as circuits are released, the main line-up on the final clearance. The phasing is written into the offer so nobody improvises in an energized room at two in the morning.

What we take out of Clearfield sites

Liquid-filled pad-mount and station class

Oil-filled pad-mount and pole-mount units, loop-feed and radial, unit substations with their primary switching and secondary sections, and station-class power transformers with tap changers, radiators and conservators. Oil is tested for PCB content before anything moves, and the manifests come with your paperwork.

Dry-type and cast coil

Ventilated dry-type and cast-coil units from 15 kVA through 5 MVA, including 480 V to 208 V step-downs, K-rated units specified for harmonic loads, and drive isolation transformers. Dry-types move easily, resell quickly and generally carry a strong number relative to their weight.

Clearfield questions

Are you insured to work inside our Clearfield facility?

Yes. We carry general liability, auto, workers' compensation and umbrella coverage, and we issue a certificate naming your entity as additional insured before crews mobilize to Clearfield. We also complete vendor onboarding, background checks and site-specific safety orientation on request.

Can you work nights, weekends or during a shutdown in Clearfield?

Regularly. Most electrical removals happen outside production hours because that is when circuits can be released. Night, weekend, holiday and turnaround windows in Clearfield are normal scheduling for us, not a premium service.

What happens to the equipment after you buy it?

Serviceable gear is tested, reconditioned where needed and resold as replacement equipment — that resale is what funds your offer. What cannot go back into service is dismantled for copper, aluminum and steel recovery through permitted processors, with regulated fractions documented.

Do you buy equipment that is still energized and in service?

Yes, and most of what we buy is. We quote it now and remove it on your cutover date. Telling us at the quote stage which Clearfield assets are still live lets us build the phasing and the clearance coordination into the schedule from the beginning.

Our electrical room is in a basement with a tight door. Is that a problem?

It is routine. Switchgear sections, transformers and gensets frequently have to be cut down or partially disassembled to clear a door width, an elevator limit or a stair turn. The access survey at your Clearfield site establishes the path before we commit to a date, and that cost is already inside the offer.
