This is the bulk of what moves through our yard, and it is where obsolete models are frequently worth more than current production because nobody else can supply them.

Liquid-filled and dry-type transformers from 75 kVA to 50 MVA, unit substations, rectifier and furnace transformers, and diesel and gas gensets from 100 kW to 3 MW with or without their paralleling gear and transfer switches. Running or not — we price a seized engine on its alternator and core just as seriously as a low-hour set.

When do we get paid?
Before the equipment leaves your Monticello dock. Wire, company check or cashier's check, whichever your accounting group prefers. On large phased projects we pay per load as it ships rather than holding everything until the end.
What if the equipment is old or has no test records?
We still quote it. Records raise the number — a NETA test report on a breaker or a transformer is the single document that most improves what we can pay — but their absence disqualifies nothing. We price Monticello equipment on what our technicians and the replacement market say it is worth.
