San Diego, CA: Generators Purchase and Removal
We purchase generators throughout San Diego and the surrounding California market — units still energized and scheduled for replacement, equipment already sitting dead after an upgrade, and lots coming out of a full plant closure. We buy the gear and we do the removal: one company, one offer, one certificate of insurance.

Generators we buy in San Diego
We treat California as one service area rather than a list of towns. Crews moving between Santa Clara, San Jose, Los Angeles, Sacramento and San Diego pass through San Diego regularly, which is why a single transformer or a pallet of bus plugs is still worth quoting here — we add it to an existing run instead of pricing a dedicated trip.
For San Diego sites we quote two ways when it helps: a single number for the scope as it stands, and a line-by-line itemization showing what the switchgear, the transformers, the busway and the cable each contribute. Some teams need the lump sum to move an approval; others need the detail for their asset records. You can have both.

What it is worth
We do not quote high and renegotiate on the dock, which is the complaint we hear most often about this trade. If what our crew finds in San Diego matches what you described, the written price is the price we pay. If it does not — breakers already pulled, windings cut, a different model than the photo — we show you exactly which line changed and why.
California note
Title 24 upgrades, refinery turnarounds in the Bay Area and Los Angeles basin, and aggressive PCB and oil handling rules under DTSC make California removals documentation-heavy; we quote the compliance work inside the offer rather than as an extra.

Questions
How fast can you get to a San Diego site?
Written offers go out the same business day in nearly every case. After acceptance, typical mobilization to San Diego is a few business days for a straightforward removal and one to two weeks for a full plant scope that needs phasing, rigging plans or utility coordination.
Do we have to disconnect the equipment before you arrive?
No. We handle removal. Your electrician or the utility performs the final isolation and we verify it; from there our crews lock out, cut and cap cable at the gland, unbolt the sections, skate them out and load them. If the San Diego room is still partly live we phase the work.
How do you handle transformer oil in San Diego?
Oil is tested, drained and manifested through licensed handlers, and you receive the documentation with your paperwork. PCB-suspect units go under a separate waste profile. Nothing is left on your pad in San Diego and nothing gets dumped — the handling cost is already in the offer.
When do we get paid?
Before the equipment leaves your San Diego dock. Wire, company check or cashier's check, whichever your accounting group prefers. On large phased projects we pay per load as it ships rather than holding everything until the end.
