Sacramento, CA: Transformers Purchase and Removal

We purchase transformers throughout Sacramento and the surrounding California market — units still energized and scheduled for replacement, equipment already sitting dead after an upgrade, and lots coming out of a full plant closure. We buy the gear and we do the removal: one company, one offer, one certificate of insurance.

Transformers we buy in Sacramento

We treat California as one service area rather than a list of towns. Crews moving between Santa Clara, San Jose, Los Angeles, Sacramento and San Diego pass through Sacramento regularly, which is why a single transformer or a pallet of bus plugs is still worth quoting here — we add it to an existing run instead of pricing a dedicated trip.

The sequence on a Sacramento job is short. You send nameplate photos or a list. We come back the same business day with a written itemized offer and a proposed removal window. If you accept, we survey access — door widths, floor loading, dock height, whether the room is still energized — then mobilize, lock out, disconnect, unbolt, rig, load and sweep. Payment lands before the trailer leaves.

What it is worth

Transformer oil is the item sellers in Sacramento worry about most, and fairly so. We test it, drain it, manifest it through licensed handlers and hand you the documentation. PCB-suspect units are handled under their own waste profile. The cost of that handling is already inside the offer, so nothing surprises you after the fact.

California note

Title 24 upgrades, refinery turnarounds in the Bay Area and Los Angeles basin, and aggressive PCB and oil handling rules under DTSC make California removals documentation-heavy; we quote the compliance work inside the offer rather than as an extra.

Questions

Can you work nights, weekends or during a shutdown in Sacramento?

Regularly. Most electrical removals happen outside production hours because that is when circuits can be released. Night, weekend, holiday and turnaround windows in Sacramento are normal scheduling for us, not a premium service.

What happens to the equipment after you buy it?

Serviceable gear is tested, reconditioned where needed and resold as replacement equipment — that resale is what funds your offer. What cannot go back into service is dismantled for copper, aluminum and steel recovery through permitted processors, with regulated fractions documented.

Do you buy equipment that is still energized and in service?

Yes, and most of what we buy is. We quote it now and remove it on your cutover date. Telling us at the quote stage which Sacramento assets are still live lets us build the phasing and the clearance coordination into the schedule from the beginning.

Our electrical room is in a basement with a tight door. Is that a problem?

It is routine. Switchgear sections, transformers and gensets frequently have to be cut down or partially disassembled to clear a door width, an elevator limit or a stair turn. The access survey at your Sacramento site establishes the path before we commit to a date, and that cost is already inside the offer.
