Richmond, VA: Complete Plant Lots Purchase and Removal
We purchase complete plant lots throughout Richmond and the surrounding Virginia market — units still energized and scheduled for replacement, equipment already sitting dead after an upgrade, and lots coming out of a full plant closure. We buy the gear and we do the removal: one company, one offer, one certificate of insurance.

Complete Plant Lots we buy in Richmond
Our Virginia routing runs along I-95, I-66, I-495, the Dulles Toll Road and I-64, which keeps trailer and crew cost predictable on Richmond projects. Utility territory matters too — Dominion Energy Virginia, Appalachian Power, NOVEC each have their own clearance, metering and disconnect expectations, and we have worked inside them. Northern Virginia construction and data facility work generates switchgear, busway and generator volume, while Hampton Roads shipyards and southern Virginia plant closures add heavy MV equipment.
Once an offer is accepted in Richmond we schedule around your outage window, not ours. Nights, weekends and phased removals are normal. Crews arrive with their own rigging, skates, lifts, torches and oil-handling equipment, pull the gear, protect your floors and leave the electrical room clear for the next trade.

What it is worth
Three things drive the number: condition, whether the equipment is still supported, and copper content. A medium-voltage line-up with current vacuum breakers and a recent test report prices as reusable equipment. An identical structure with obsolete air-magnetic breakers and no nameplate prices on its bus and steel. We tell you which bucket your Richmond gear falls into before you commit to anything.

Questions
When do we get paid?
Before the equipment leaves your Richmond dock. Wire, company check or cashier's check, whichever your accounting group prefers. On large phased projects we pay per load as it ships rather than holding everything until the end.
What if the equipment is old or has no test records?
We still quote it. Records raise the number — a NETA test report on a breaker or a transformer is the single document that most improves what we can pay — but their absence disqualifies nothing. We price Richmond equipment on what our technicians and the replacement market say it is worth.
Are you insured to work inside our Richmond facility?
Yes. We carry general liability, auto, workers' compensation and umbrella coverage, and we issue a certificate naming your entity as additional insured before crews mobilize to Richmond. We also complete vendor onboarding, background checks and site-specific safety orientation on request.
Can you work nights, weekends or during a shutdown in Richmond?
Regularly. Most electrical removals happen outside production hours because that is when circuits can be released. Night, weekend, holiday and turnaround windows in Richmond are normal scheduling for us, not a premium service.
