New Orleans, LA: Wire & Cable Purchase and Removal

We purchase wire and cable throughout New Orleans and the surrounding Louisiana market — units still energized and scheduled for replacement, equipment already sitting dead after an upgrade, and lots coming out of a full plant closure. We buy the gear and we do the removal: one company, one offer, one certificate of insurance.

Wire & Cable we buy in New Orleans

Our Louisiana routing runs along I-10, I-12, I-20 and I-49, which keeps trailer and crew cost predictable on New Orleans projects. Utility territory matters too — Entergy Louisiana, Cleco, SWEPCO each have their own clearance, metering and disconnect expectations, and we have worked inside them. Gulf Coast petrochemical turnarounds are the dominant source of medium-voltage switchgear, MV MCCs and large rectifier transformers in the state, and hot-work permitting is standard on our crews' scope.

Paperwork travels with the job: a certificate of insurance naming your entity, a W-9, a signed purchase agreement listing every asset and its price, oil test and disposal manifests where transformers are in scope, and weight tickets or a bill of lading for what leaves the New Orleans site. Maintenance, EHS and accounting each get the document they need.

What it is worth

Copper is the floor under most of this equipment, and it is a floor that moves. Bus bar, windings and feeder cable set a minimum value we can always pay on a New Orleans lot; resale demand for the specific make and model is what lifts the offer above it. Obsolete bus plugs and discontinued panelboard interiors are the clearest example — unglamorous parts that plants cannot buy new anywhere.

Questions

When do we get paid?

Before the equipment leaves your New Orleans dock. Wire, company check or cashier's check, whichever your accounting group prefers. On large phased projects we pay per load as it ships rather than holding everything until the end.

What if the equipment is old or has no test records?

We still quote it. Records raise the number — a NETA test report on a breaker or a transformer is the single document that most improves what we can pay — but their absence disqualifies nothing. We price New Orleans equipment on what our technicians and the replacement market say it is worth.

Are you insured to work inside our New Orleans facility?

Yes. We carry general liability, auto, workers' compensation and umbrella coverage, and we issue a certificate naming your entity as additional insured before crews mobilize to New Orleans. We also complete vendor onboarding, background checks and site-specific safety orientation on request.

Can you work nights, weekends or during a shutdown in New Orleans?

Regularly. Most electrical removals happen outside production hours because that is when circuits can be released. Night, weekend, holiday and turnaround windows in New Orleans are normal scheduling for us, not a premium service.
