New Orleans, LA: Capacitors & Power Quality Purchase and Removal

Capacitors & Power Quality coming out of a New Orleans facility is worth quoting even when it is decades old. Condition, whether the model is still supported and copper content move the number far more than age, and we will tell you honestly whether your units resell into service or price closer to recovered metal.

Capacitors & Power Quality we buy in New Orleans

Gulf Coast petrochemical turnarounds are the dominant source of medium-voltage switchgear, MV MCCs and large rectifier transformers in the state, and hot-work permitting is standard on our crews' scope. For New Orleans specifically, that density helps: crews already move through New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Shreveport and Lafayette, so mobilization is a scheduling question rather than a cost problem.

For New Orleans sites we quote two ways when it helps: a single number for the scope as it stands, and a line-by-line itemization showing what the switchgear, the transformers, the busway and the cable each contribute. Some teams need the lump sum to move an approval; others need the detail for their asset records. You can have both.

What it is worth

We do not quote high and renegotiate on the dock, which is the complaint we hear most often about this trade. If what our crew finds in New Orleans matches what you described, the written price is the price we pay. If it does not — breakers already pulled, windings cut, a different model than the photo — we show you exactly which line changed and why.

Questions

Are you insured to work inside our New Orleans facility?

Yes. We carry general liability, auto, workers' compensation and umbrella coverage, and we issue a certificate naming your entity as additional insured before crews mobilize to New Orleans. We also complete vendor onboarding, background checks and site-specific safety orientation on request.

Can you work nights, weekends or during a shutdown in New Orleans?

Regularly. Most electrical removals happen outside production hours because that is when circuits can be released. Night, weekend, holiday and turnaround windows in New Orleans are normal scheduling for us, not a premium service.

What happens to the equipment after you buy it?

Serviceable gear is tested, reconditioned where needed and resold as replacement equipment — that resale is what funds your offer. What cannot go back into service is dismantled for copper, aluminum and steel recovery through permitted processors, with regulated fractions documented.

Do you buy equipment that is still energized and in service?

Yes, and most of what we buy is. We quote it now and remove it on your cutover date. Telling us at the quote stage which New Orleans assets are still live lets us build the phasing and the clearance coordination into the schedule from the beginning.
