Buying electrical equipment in Dublin

We treat Ohio as one service area rather than a list of towns. Crews moving between Columbus, New Albany, Dublin, Cleveland and Cincinnati pass through Dublin regularly, which is why a single transformer or a pallet of bus plugs is still worth quoting here — we add it to an existing run instead of pricing a dedicated trip.

If the Dublin equipment is still carrying load, we phase it. Usually that means dead sections and spares first, then distribution as circuits are released, then the main line-up once the last feeder is isolated. The phasing goes into the offer so nobody is improvising in an energized room at two in the morning.

What drives the number

Copper is the floor under most of this equipment, and it is a floor that moves. Bus bar, windings and feeder cable set a minimum value we can always pay on a Dublin lot; resale demand for the specific make and model is what lifts the offer above it. Obsolete bus plugs and discontinued panelboard interiors are the clearest example — unglamorous parts that plants cannot buy new anywhere.

Safety and documentation

If your Dublin facility runs permits — hot work, confined space, elevated work, site orientation, background checks — tell us at the quote stage and we build the time into the schedule rather than asking for an extension later. Our people are used to refinery, hospital and utility permitting cultures.

Paper you receive

Certificate of insurance before we mobilize, a written itemized offer, a signed bill of sale, and load documentation for every trailer. If your compliance team needs something specific, ask before we schedule.

Dublin questions

How fast can you get to a Dublin site?

Written offers go out the same business day in nearly every case. After acceptance, typical mobilization to Dublin is a few business days for a straightforward removal and one to two weeks for a full plant scope that needs phasing, rigging plans or utility coordination.

Do we have to disconnect the equipment before you arrive?

No. We handle removal. Your electrician or the utility performs the final isolation and we verify it; from there our crews lock out, cut and cap cable at the gland, unbolt the sections, skate them out and load them. If the Dublin room is still partly live we phase the work.

How do you handle transformer oil in Dublin?

Oil is tested, drained and manifested through licensed handlers, and you receive the documentation with your paperwork. PCB-suspect units go under a separate waste profile. Nothing is left on your pad in Dublin and nothing gets dumped — the handling cost is already in the offer.

When do we get paid?

Before the equipment leaves your Dublin dock. Wire, company check or cashier's check, whichever your accounting group prefers. On large phased projects we pay per load as it ships rather than holding everything until the end.

What if the equipment is old or has no test records?

We still quote it. Records raise the number — a NETA test report on a breaker or a transformer is the single document that most improves what we can pay — but their absence disqualifies nothing. We price Dublin equipment on what our technicians and the replacement market say it is worth.

Are you insured to work inside our Dublin facility?

Yes. We carry general liability, auto, workers' compensation and umbrella coverage, and we issue a certificate naming your entity as additional insured before crews mobilize to Dublin. We also complete vendor onboarding, background checks and site-specific safety orientation on request.
