Once an offer is accepted in Chicago we schedule around your outage window, not ours. Nights, weekends and phased removals are normal. Crews arrive with their own rigging, skates, lifts, torches and oil-handling equipment, pull the gear, protect your floors and leave the electrical room clear for the next trade.

We do not quote high and renegotiate on the dock, which is the complaint we hear most often about this trade. If what our crew finds in Chicago matches what you described, the written price is the price we pay. How do you handle transformer oil in Chicago?
Oil is tested, drained and manifested through licensed handlers, and you receive the documentation with your paperwork. PCB-suspect units go under a separate waste profile. Nothing is left on your pad in Chicago and nothing gets dumped — the handling cost is already in the offer.
When do we get paid?
Before the equipment leaves your Chicago dock. Wire, company check or cashier's check, whichever your accounting group prefers. On large phased projects we pay per load as it ships rather than holding everything until the end.
What if the equipment is old or has no test records?
We still quote it. Records raise the number — a NETA test report on a breaker or a transformer is the single document that most improves what we can pay — but their absence disqualifies nothing. We price Chicago equipment on what our technicians and the replacement market say it is worth.
Are you insured to work inside our Chicago facility?
Yes. We carry general liability, auto, workers' compensation and umbrella coverage, and we issue a certificate naming your entity as additional insured before crews mobilize to Chicago. We also complete vendor onboarding, background checks and site-specific safety orientation on request.
