Austin, TX: Circuit Breakers Purchase and Removal
We purchase circuit breakers throughout Austin and the surrounding Texas market — units still energized and scheduled for replacement, equipment already sitting dead after an upgrade, and lots coming out of a full plant closure. We buy the gear and we do the removal: one company, one offer, one certificate of insurance.

Circuit Breakers we buy in Austin
We treat Texas as one service area rather than a list of towns. Crews moving between Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Austin and San Antonio pass through Austin regularly, which is why a single transformer or a pallet of bus plugs is still worth quoting here — we add it to an existing run instead of pricing a dedicated trip.
If the Austin equipment is still carrying load, we phase it. Usually that means dead sections and spares first, then distribution as circuits are released, then the main line-up once the last feeder is isolated. The phasing goes into the offer so nobody is improvising in an energized room at two in the morning.

What it is worth
Sometimes the equipment value exceeds our removal cost and you receive a check. On older, stripped or badly access-restricted Austin scopes, the removal cost exceeds the value and the project nets near zero or a modest fee. You hear which one you are looking at up front rather than halfway through the teardown.
Texas note
Texas is our largest market: Gulf Coast petrochemical turnarounds, ERCOT generation retirements, oilfield electrification and Dallas and Austin construction all move medium-voltage switchgear, transformers and generators constantly.

Questions
Do you actually buy electrical equipment in Austin, or just broker it?
We buy it. Industrial Electrical Buyer is the purchaser of record — we fund the purchase, send our own crews to Austin to disconnect and load, and take title when the equipment leaves your dock. There is no third party behind us waiting to approve the price.
What is the smallest job you will take in Austin?
A single transformer, one switchgear section, a pallet of bus plugs or a few boxes of breakers is worth a call. Because we route crews across Texas continuously, small Austin pickups usually get added to an existing run rather than priced as a dedicated trip.
How fast can you get to a Austin site?
Written offers go out the same business day in nearly every case. After acceptance, typical mobilization to Austin is a few business days for a straightforward removal and one to two weeks for a full plant scope that needs phasing, rigging plans or utility coordination.
Do we have to disconnect the equipment before you arrive?
No. We handle removal. Your electrician or the utility performs the final isolation and we verify it; from there our crews lock out, cut and cap cable at the gland, unbolt the sections, skate them out and load them. If the Austin room is still partly live we phase the work.
