Providence, UT Electrical Generator Buyers

Providence facility and construction teams call us when equipment is coming out and nobody wants to coordinate an electrician, a rigger and a hauler around one outage window. We are all three, and we pay you for the equipment on top of it instead of charging you to haul it away.

Generators buyers serving Providence

Providence sits in Utah, where Rocky Mountain Power, Provo Power, Murray City Power feed the load and I-15, I-80 and I-215 carry the freight. Sites near those corridors cost us less to service, and that shows up in your offer rather than in our margin. Salt Lake City, Provo, West Jordan and Ogden are routine stops and Providence work routes with them.

Documentation travels with the job: a certificate of insurance naming your entity, a W-9, a signed purchase agreement itemizing each asset and its price, oil or PCB manifests where applicable, and weight tickets or a bill of lading for what leaves the Providence site.

What we take out of Providence sites

Standby and prime sets

Enclosed and open-skid sets from 100 kW to 3 MW on sub-base double-wall tanks or remote fuel systems, single units and multi-unit paralleled plants. Caterpillar, Cummins and Kohler move fastest, but every major engine family has a resale market and we quote all of them.

Mobile and rental-fleet sets

Trailer-mounted and skid-mounted mobile sets, including ex-rental-fleet units retired at high hours. Rental returns are usually well documented and mechanically honest, which makes them straightforward to price from a photo and an hour meter reading.

Utah specifics

Mining and smelting along the Wasatch Front and steel and chemical operations south of Salt Lake produce MV switchgear, large drives and portable substations.

Providence questions

How fast can you get to a Providence site?

Written offers go out the same business day in nearly every case. After acceptance, typical mobilization to Providence is a few business days for a straightforward removal and one to two weeks for a full plant scope that needs phasing, rigging plans or utility coordination.

Do we have to disconnect the equipment before you arrive?

No. We handle removal. Your electrician or the utility performs the final isolation and we verify it; from there our crews lock out, cut and cap cable at the gland, unbolt the sections, skate them out and load them. If the Providence room is still partly live we phase the work.

How do you handle transformer oil in Providence?

Oil is tested, drained and manifested through licensed handlers, and you receive the documentation with your paperwork. PCB-suspect units go under a separate waste profile. Nothing is left on your pad in Providence and nothing gets dumped — the handling cost is already in the offer.

When do we get paid?

Before the equipment leaves your Providence dock. Wire, company check or cashier's check, whichever your accounting group prefers. On large phased projects we pay per load as it ships rather than holding everything until the end.

What if the equipment is old or has no test records?

We still quote it. Records raise the number — a NETA test report on a breaker or a transformer is the single document that most improves what we can pay — but their absence disqualifies nothing. We price Providence equipment on what our technicians and the replacement market say it is worth.
