What it is worth
Copper is the floor under most of this equipment, and it is a floor that moves. Bus bar, windings and feeder cable set a minimum value we can always pay on a Washington lot; resale demand for the specific make and model is what lifts the offer above it. What if the equipment is old or has no test records?
We still quote it. Records raise the number — a NETA test report on a breaker or a transformer is the single document that most improves what we can pay — but their absence disqualifies nothing. We price Washington equipment on what our technicians and the replacement market say it is worth.
