Honolulu, HI: Load Banks Purchase and Removal

Load Banks coming out of a Honolulu facility is worth quoting even when it is decades old. Condition, whether the model is still supported and copper content move the number far more than age, and we will tell you honestly whether your units resell into service or price closer to recovered metal.

Load Banks we buy in Honolulu

Coverage in Honolulu is run off our Hawaii routing along H-1, H-2 and Honolulu Harbor. Coordination with Hawaiian Electric, Kauai Island Utility Cooperative on clearances, metering removal and final disconnect is part of the scope, not a change order. Ocean freight sets the economics on Hawaii work, so we buy in consolidated lots and schedule container loading around sailings rather than pricing single-item pickups.

For Honolulu sites we quote two ways when it helps: a single number for the scope as it stands, and a line-by-line itemization showing what the switchgear, the transformers, the busway and the cable each contribute. Some teams need the lump sum to move an approval; others need the detail for their asset records. You can have both.

What it is worth

We do not quote high and renegotiate on the dock, which is the complaint we hear most often about this trade. If what our crew finds in Honolulu matches what you described, the written price is the price we pay. If it does not — breakers already pulled, windings cut, a different model than the photo — we show you exactly which line changed and why.

Hawaii note

Ocean freight sets the economics on Hawaii work, so we buy in consolidated lots and schedule container loading around sailings rather than pricing single-item pickups.

Questions

When do we get paid?

Before the equipment leaves your Honolulu dock. Wire, company check or cashier's check, whichever your accounting group prefers. On large phased projects we pay per load as it ships rather than holding everything until the end.

What if the equipment is old or has no test records?

We still quote it. Records raise the number — a NETA test report on a breaker or a transformer is the single document that most improves what we can pay — but their absence disqualifies nothing. We price Honolulu equipment on what our technicians and the replacement market say it is worth.

Are you insured to work inside our Honolulu facility?

Yes. We carry general liability, auto, workers' compensation and umbrella coverage, and we issue a certificate naming your entity as additional insured before crews mobilize to Honolulu. We also complete vendor onboarding, background checks and site-specific safety orientation on request.

Can you work nights, weekends or during a shutdown in Honolulu?

Regularly. Most electrical removals happen outside production hours because that is when circuits can be released. Night, weekend, holiday and turnaround windows in Honolulu are normal scheduling for us, not a premium service.
