El Paso, TX: Transformers Purchase and Removal

We purchase transformers throughout El Paso and the surrounding Texas market — units still energized and scheduled for replacement, equipment already sitting dead after an upgrade, and lots coming out of a full plant closure. We buy the gear and we do the removal: one company, one offer, one certificate of insurance.

Transformers we buy in El Paso

We treat Texas as one service area rather than a list of towns. Crews moving between Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Austin and San Antonio pass through El Paso regularly, which is why a single transformer or a pallet of bus plugs is still worth quoting here — we add it to an existing run instead of pricing a dedicated trip.

Paperwork travels with the job: a certificate of insurance naming your entity, a W-9, a signed purchase agreement listing every asset and its price, oil test and disposal manifests where transformers are in scope, and weight tickets or a bill of lading for what leaves the El Paso site. Maintenance, EHS and accounting each get the document they need.

What it is worth

Copper is the floor under most of this equipment, and it is a floor that moves. Bus bar, windings and feeder cable set a minimum value we can always pay on a El Paso lot; resale demand for the specific make and model is what lifts the offer above it. Obsolete bus plugs and discontinued panelboard interiors are the clearest example — unglamorous parts that plants cannot buy new anywhere.

Texas note

Texas is our largest market: Gulf Coast petrochemical turnarounds, ERCOT generation retirements, oilfield electrification and Dallas and Austin construction all move medium-voltage switchgear, transformers and generators constantly.

Questions

Do you provide documentation for surplus property or audit records?

Yes. Itemized purchase agreements, weight tickets, bills of lading, oil disposal manifests and recycling documentation are standard on El Paso purchases. Public agencies and audited facilities get the paperwork their process requires without having to ask twice.

Do you actually buy electrical equipment in El Paso, or just broker it?

We buy it. Industrial Electrical Buyer is the purchaser of record — we fund the purchase, send our own crews to El Paso to disconnect and load, and take title when the equipment leaves your dock. There is no third party behind us waiting to approve the price.

What is the smallest job you will take in El Paso?

A single transformer, one switchgear section, a pallet of bus plugs or a few boxes of breakers is worth a call. Because we route crews across Texas continuously, small El Paso pickups usually get added to an existing run rather than priced as a dedicated trip.

How fast can you get to a El Paso site?

Written offers go out the same business day in nearly every case. After acceptance, typical mobilization to El Paso is a few business days for a straightforward removal and one to two weeks for a full plant scope that needs phasing, rigging plans or utility coordination.
